isnigelpeeing.com is a personal website run by Scott Evens in Chicago, Illinois, USA (“we”). He is responsible for the information described here. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

• If you give us your email address and confirm it, we email you litter box alerts. Nothing else.
• We don’t sell, rent, share or trade it.
• The site sets no tracking cookies of its own. Fonts and the video player are served from this site.
• Our host keeps ordinary server logs.
• The site doesn’t currently show ads. If it does, you’ll be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Email alerts

What: your email address, its status (pending, subscribed or unsubscribed) and a date.

Why: to send one confirmation email, then — only after you click it — an alert each time the camera sees Nigel enter the litter box. Legal basis: your consent, given by confirming. You can withdraw it anytime.

Who handles it: the list is stored in a database run by Cloudflare on our behalf. Emails are sent by Resend, which processes your address on our behalf. Both are in the United States.

Leaving: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Your address is then marked unsubscribed and never emailed again; we keep that marker so you aren’t re-added by mistake. To have it erased completely, email us from that address.

Unconfirmed addresses receive no alerts and are deleted automatically after about 30 days.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no tracking cookies. If ads are ever enabled, it may store your cookie choice in your browser so it doesn’t ask again; that value stays on your device.

Advertising (if enabled)

The site may in future show ads from Google AdSense to cover hosting. If it does:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
• How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising storage is off by default (Google Consent Mode). Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked through a Google-certified consent tool before any ad cookies are used; others will be offered a choice too. Declining changes nothing else about the site.

Server logs and video

The site and the live video are delivered by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare records technical request data — IP address, browser, referring page, time, files requested — for security and troubleshooting. We look only at aggregate traffic and don’t try to identify visitors.

The live feed

The camera is in a private home, framed on a litter box. No audio. Watching it sends us nothing about you beyond the server logs above. Nothing you do here is visible to the camera.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — in practice, an email address you typed in. Depending on your location (for example the EU, UK, California or other US states), you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We don’t sell personal information.

To exercise any right, email [email protected] from the address concerned. We’ll respond within 30 days at no charge. If you’re in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention

Confirmed and unsubscribed addresses: until you ask us to erase them. Unconfirmed addresses: about 30 days. Server logs: per Cloudflare’s schedule. Nothing else is kept.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we’ll delete the address.

International visitors

The site is operated from the United States, and information is processed there by us, Cloudflare and Resend.

Changes

When the site changes in a way that affects this page, we’ll update it and the date at the top. Material changes are noted here, not made quietly.
